Kate Madden, MA, NCC, LPC | PROVIDING MENTAL HEALTH COUNSELING ACROSS THE STATE OF OREGON
My Philosophy
What informs my practice is the belief that everyone has the innate power to recover from trauma, overcome adversity, and learn to thrive in new circumstances. Working with a trusted therapist in a safe, non-judgmental setting can give you the freedom to explore, understand, and heal yourself from the inside out.
I offer a curious and compassionate space for you to unfold in ways that are meaningful to you—to help you gain insights that can foster connection, self-compassion, and well-being.
“Your life will be a great and continuous unfolding.”
— CHERYL STRAYED
What I Offer
I provide mental health counseling to adults and adolescents 15 and older. I work with folks who are facing all sorts of challenges: self-esteem, depression, anxiety, gender or sexual identity exploration, relationship struggles, life transitions, healing from a traumatic event, or just general “stuck-ness.”
I offer a trauma-informed, social justice oriented, and collaborative approach to therapy. My practice respects all aspects of an individual’s identity, including race, ethnicity, gender expression, sexual orientation, social and economic background, age, religion, body shape, size, and ability. I'm LGBTQI+, poly, and kink welcoming and affirming.
“You are unfolding with profound purpose; your purpose is revealing you, to yourself.”
— BRYANT MCGILL
